Karlie joined the growing Marketing department in 2026 as a CRM specialist.
Following studying Media and Communications with a specialism in documentary making at University in London, Karlie has worked in a range of industries from acting, to a spin class studio before finding her specialism in CRM management.
Karlie gained CRM management experience from a large corporate business prior to joining WJ Shirley and now oversees our new Client Asset Management department, reviewing previous records and advising Asset and Facilities Managers on suitable next steps for repairs and maintenance of their sites.
Her favourite part of the role so far is the variety of people she deals with everyday. As it is a client-facing role, everyday is a little different, which she enjoys.
Outside of work, Karlie enjoys arts and crafts, in particular, knitting and cross stitching. She is also a keen runner with some ambitious goals lined-up.
What do you do outside of work? I’m a very artsy crafty kind of person so I love knitting and cross stitching. I also love going for breakfast.
Favourite food? Could never choose a burger and a burrito!
If you weren’t in this job, what would you be doing? If money wasn’t a consideration, I would open my own children’s theatre with acting classes and the whole works.
I love Shakespeare and theatre generally, and I like the idea of creating somewhere where kids can get involved from a young age. I think theatre teaches you a lot of skills that are useful outside of it too like confidence, communication, empathy.
