Darren began his career in a builder’s merchant where he worked his way up to branch manager with a staff of over 30 people. In 2019 Darren began working self-employed, covering everything from extensions to groundwork and gaining contracts with the council, NCC, Basset Law and Derby Homes. He went on to join Greenspark where he set up his own Civils team.

In June 2020 Darren began working with W J Shirley carrying out various works before becoming Director of the Civils division. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. Darren specialises in offering solutions for businesses nationwide who require excavation work at their premises.
