Highlights

• Progressing to the role of a Director is my favourite achievement. 
• Really enjoyed working for WJ Shirley so far and doesn’t see it stopping anytime soon, I want to stay here for many years to come.

Aaron has lived in Lincoln all his life and didn’t really venture too far away from it apart from holidays aboard. So working for WJ Shirley has given him the opportunity to really see some really beautiful places and meet some amazing people across the country.

The most challenging site he has worked on was in Loughborough. He spent a little over 4 weeks inspecting 900 drains but, like most sites, found it all made sense towards the end of the survey.

Aaron supports Manchester United (but doesn’t shout about this as much as he used to!) and is currently trying to collect all their home shirts from their Newton Heath days.

He has 2 little girls to go home to overnight so often work starts when he walks through the door, spending most of his free time with them. He also loves to cook a big BBQ for family and friends.

Favourite part of the job: Meeting and understanding people when working away in different areas.

Favourite food: A Sunday roast carvery

“I am training for some bicycle races later this year with a big one early next year. Undecided if I am going to race it for charity or just myself at the moment.”
