Prior to working for WJ Shirley, Ben worked in the RAF for nearly 10 years, responding to and dealing with aircraft bomb threats in Dubai. However, due to a knee injury and the birth of his son, he felt it was time for a career change. 

Ben has been part of the WJ Shirley team for over a year as part of our northern based teams, usually working with team mate Billy. 

Outside of work, Ben plays rugby for Horncastle Town Rugby Club, a stone’s throw away from our Lincolnshire office and also enjoys going to the gym.
